Use the Periodic Table to predict the above properties for representative elements. EQ: How does the structure of an atom lead to chemical bonding? How does the structure of the periodic table help us to understand and predict chemical bonding? Monday: Complete the Ionic and Covalent Bonds assignment. Work on individualized practice in USA Test Prep. Tuesday: Complete the reinforcement sheets for ionic and covalent bonds: Ionic Bonding Interview with an electron Work on individualized practice in USA Test Prep. Wednesday: Go over the answers to the Ionic Bonding, Interview with an Electron, and Ionic and Covalent Bonds work from Monday and Tuesday. Thursday: Watch a short video about the three types of bonding: Ionic, Covalent and Metallic Listen to a song about atomic bonding. Discuss ionic and covalent bonding. Watch the ionic and covalent bonding animation Complete the Electron Configuration and Ionic Bonding Practice in Google Classroom. Friday: School Closed. Veterans Day.
